Lake Zurich

Village of Lake Zurich

The Village of Lake Zurich is an established residential community with above-average wealth and housing values. Lake Zurich grew slowly after its incorporation in 1896. With its rural setting and 250-acre lake, the village was a popular summer resort community during the early 20th century. The population has more than quadrupled since 1960, to about 18,000, as the village has shared in the economic growth that has come from an expanding Chicago metropolitan area.

"Ideally situated a mere 37 miles northwest of the bustling city of Chicago, Lake Zurich's location is perhaps one of its greatest assets."
